Bring Me A Dream | LUSH Twilight Gift Trio.

I had been trying for months to get my hands on the popular, always sold-out Sleepy lotion from LUSH. So when I opened my present from my best friend Christmas morning to find it was the Twilight Gift box, I almost cried. Not only does it contain a 50g pot of the Sleepy lotion, but it also has a 100ml bottle of Twilight body spray and 100g bottle of Twilight shower gel. One very lucky girly indeed!  Continue reading Bring Me A Dream | LUSH Twilight Gift Trio.

Superfood For The Face | Moroccan Rose Facial Oil.

If you’re a regular here, you’ll know I love a good facial oil and they are an absolute holy-grail staple in my skincare routine. (If you’re interested, you can read these posts: coconut oil & rosehip oil). So when I received the dr. Botanicals Moroccan Rose Superfood Facial Oil in my Glossybox, I was extremely excited. I had never heard of this brand before, but they are English, cruelty-free and vegan!  Continue reading Superfood For The Face | Moroccan Rose Facial Oil.

Simple Oil-Free Banana Pancakes.

Vegan Dairy Free
Can be made Gluten Free

Serves: 10 medium pancakes
Prep time: Approx 15-20 minutes
Cook time: Approx 5-6 mins per pancake

I love Pancake Day! I have vivid memories of Mum making pancake after pancake after pancake after school for my sisters and I. The table would be a mess of sugar, lemon and chocolate, and we’d beg her to make just one more for us. Tomorrow is my first Pancake Day being vegan, so I wanted to perfect a simple, oil-free, healthier pancake recipe for it and share it on the blog. The fun thing about pancakes is that there are so many different toppings you can add to the top of them, so just go crazy! Continue reading Simple Oil-Free Banana Pancakes.

Embrace Your Texture | Macadamia Finishing Spray.

If you hate flat, lifeless hair with no texture, no volume and no lift, then you need to get your hands on the Macadamia Professionals Tousled Texture Finishing Spray. This has been my absolute saviour since cutting my locks back into a bob that has now grown into a lob. I spotted this in TK Maxx months ago, and knowing that the Macadamia Deep Repair Masque was a holy-grail of AllThatGlitters21 from YouTube, I thought I’d give the finishing spray a go.

Qivange Brushes | White Gold Collection.

Nothing beats brand-spanking new make-up brushes. I received this 15-piece set by the brand Qivange for Christmas last year from my parents. My mum, bless her, double checked that they were 100% vegan and cruelty-free before she brought them! I had never heard of this brand and I don’t seem to be able to find a website for them but they do have a Facebook. These brushes are absolutely gorgeous and I use them every single day as part of my daily make-up routine. Continue reading Qivange Brushes | White Gold Collection.

Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Vegan Dairy Free

Serves: 8 large cookies
Prep time: Approx 30 minutes
Bake time: 15-20 minutes

One of my new year resolutions is to bake more and create more recipes on the blog. I went vegan back in August 2017, so I haven’t really experimented much with vegan baking. I thought I’d start off with some delicious (but naughty!) chocolate chip cookies. These taste delicious and if you remove the chocolate chips you can use this recipe to create plain cookies. I served these to my meat-eating family and they had no idea they were vegan! This recipe is so quick, so simple, so grab your apron and lets get in the kitchen.

Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops | Moon Potion.

Barry M are absolutely killing it with their products this season. As soon as I saw these Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops in stores, I knew I had to pick one up. I chose the shade Moon Potion (how pretty!) because it’s the classic white with blue reflects chrome colour and I thought with it being winter, a sharp white highlighter would be perfect for the colder months. Maui Moisture | Coconut Milk Shampoo + Conditioner.

Long time no see! The last time I posted was back in August 2017. I took a little hiatus as a lot has happened over the past 4 or so months, but I am back now! To kick start the new year, I thought I’d review what I’ve been using on my hair in the shower: The Maui Moisture Nourish + Moisture Coconut Milk Shampoo + Conditioner. If you’re not going on holiday this year just take some of this to the shower with you, close your eyes and pretend that you’re soaking it up on the Hawaiian beaches, because this stuff is heaven on Earth.

LUSH Bath Haul Aug/17.

My stash of LUSH bath products was getting dangerously low so I decided to pop into store and pick up a few of their bath bombs and bubble bars that I’ve never tried before. Except for Avobath, which is a firm favourite I had to repurchase, I have never tried any of these products before. The best thing about LUSH is that they’re natural, fresh, handmade and cruelty-free!

The Multi-Purpose Beauty Balm You NEED | Dr. PawPaw.

If there is one thing in the beauty world that I love, it is an all-round, multi-purpose product. Not only does this save you money but it is also travel-friendly – no one is a fan of having a lip balm, a moisturiser, a hand cream and a hairspray all rattling around in their handbag. So what if there was one product that promises to do all that and more, in just one 25ml tube?

Mini e.l.f Haul + First Impressions.

I have never spoken about the brand e.l.f (eyes, lips, face) on my blog before, but I love this brand. I used to use it back in the day, before it was available in stores in the UK. I used to place a massive order and sit and wait for it to be delivered in a brown box to my house. This brand has really grown in the last few years, especially with making it available to us Brits – it has become so popular! So when I came across a little stand in Superdrug, I knew I had to pick up a few things to test out. I picked up the Blush & Bronzing Powder duo, a Molten Liquid Eyeshadow and a Baked Highlighter single to give you guys my first impressions of what this brand has to offer.

My Top Four Lip Lingeries.

I finally managed to get my hands on the Nyx Lip Lingeries when I went to Chester last October. They were an online exclusive for so long at one point, until they decided to grace my local Boots stores a week after I got them in Chester. Typical. I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to write up this post, I have such a love/hate relationship with these lippies despite using them all the time. There are 12 shades in the original collection, ranging from cool nudes to cool browns with the odd cool toned red. All these lipsticks are matte liquid lipsticks.

Creamy Mushroom Tagliatelle Pasta.

Vegan Gluten Free
Wheat Free  Dairy Free

I recently found out that I am lactose intolerant. I have completely cut dairy out of my diet and I’ve become very interested in cooking dairy free meals. I have only ever made this recipe once, but it was such a success I immediately wanted to share with you. I used this PETA recipe for the sauce as a very rough guideline. This recipe looks very intense but it is so easy to make, I have just gone very in depth in this post to ensure I’ve covered everything. I hope you enjoy this recipe – bon appetit!

The Magic of Colour Correcting.

The logic behind colour correcting has always baffled me. I tried it before, back in my teens, using old tricks like red lipsticks to reduce dark circles. Back then, colour correcting kits, wands and powders wasn’t as big as a thing as it is now. Now, you can buy all sorts of products to balance out your complexion, pretty much from any make-up brand you see when you walk into Boots – guaranteed there is at least one product in every brand.

Changing The Skincare Game | Rosehip Oil.

I am a sucker for a good, all-round natural and organic beauty product. I have raved about coconut oil for the past year (you can read a post on 5 natural beauty uses of coconut oil) so when I discovered rosehip oil recently I was eager to try it to see if I’d fall in love with it the way I did with my holy-grail coconut oil. And my goodness is rosehip freakin’ amazing.

Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kit in Glory.

I kinda freaked when I first saw these all over Instagram, I knew I had to try them. I went to my local Superdrug and they only had this one left and another shade, and after ages contemplating which shade to get I finally picked up this deep chocolate brown in the shade in “Glory.” These Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kits by Make-Up Revolution are the first Kylie Jenner Lip Kit dupes I have seen on the highstreet, and certainly won’t be the last. I haven’t actually tried the Kylie Lip Kits so I won’t be doing a comparison in this blogpost, however, I’d love to know if you’ve tried both and what your thoughts were on the two compared.

TheBalm | Matt Kumar.

TheBalm is a brand I have never used but have been wanting to try out for so long. I always swatch their products in Debenhams (Mary Lou Manizer I’m looking at you) and fall in love with how pigmented and beautiful they are. When Glossybox sent me this teeny tiny eyeshadow single in Matt Kumar from their Meet Matt(e) Trimony Palette I was so excited! This is definitely a brand I’d like to explore more of and I now really want to treat myself to the palette!

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette.

I was constantly picking this product up in store, swatching it, looking at the price and putting it back down again. I was trying to justify the price of this palette, as it retails for £18. I squealed with joy when I was treated to the NYX Highlight & Contour Palette for Christmas. I can confidently say that this palette is so worth that £18, I’d recommend the splurge.

LUSH Christmas Haul W/16.

It is that time of year again where I rush to a LUSH store and drool over their beautiful Christmas/Winter range. I try to pick different products every year, so if you’re wondering why there isn’t every product in this blog post, that is why. I am bloody gutted I didn’t pick up the Santasaurus. Again, it is mostly bath/shower products, I always get sucked in with them! My mission for 2017 is to buy more LUSH products that aren’t for the bath! Apologies that this post has come after Christmas, I wanted it to be up beforehand but I have had problems with uploading photography, but I hope you enjoy this post nonetheless. Shop this post via the price tags below.

LUSH Halloween Haul A/16.

Yes, another LUSH related blogpost but I just had to blog about their autumn/halloween products. I haven’t brought the entire range (I think bath bomb wise I’m only missing Monsters Ball and Goth Fairy), mainly because I brought all of these in Chester and they literally only had the stock they had out front,so I had to grab what I could.
