Qivange Brushes | White Gold Collection.

Nothing beats brand-spanking new make-up brushes. I received this 15-piece set by the brand Qivange for Christmas last year from my parents. My mum, bless her, double checked that they were 100% vegan and cruelty-free before she brought them! I had never heard of this brand and I don’t seem to be able to find a website for them but they do have a Facebook. These brushes are absolutely gorgeous and I use them every single day as part of my daily make-up routine. Continue reading Qivange Brushes | White Gold Collection.

Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops | Moon Potion.

Barry M are absolutely killing it with their products this season. As soon as I saw these Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops in stores, I knew I had to pick one up. I chose the shade Moon Potion (how pretty!) because it’s the classic white with blue reflects chrome colour and I thought with it being winter, a sharp white highlighter would be perfect for the colder months. Mini e.l.f Haul + First Impressions.

I have never spoken about the brand e.l.f (eyes, lips, face) on my blog before, but I love this brand. I used to use it back in the day, before it was available in stores in the UK. I used to place a massive order and sit and wait for it to be delivered in a brown box to my house. This brand has really grown in the last few years, especially with making it available to us Brits – it has become so popular! So when I came across a little stand in Superdrug, I knew I had to pick up a few things to test out. I picked up the Blush & Bronzing Powder duo, a Molten Liquid Eyeshadow and a Baked Highlighter single to give you guys my first impressions of what this brand has to offer.

My Top Four Lip Lingeries.

I finally managed to get my hands on the Nyx Lip Lingeries when I went to Chester last October. They were an online exclusive for so long at one point, until they decided to grace my local Boots stores a week after I got them in Chester. Typical. I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long to write up this post, I have such a love/hate relationship with these lippies despite using them all the time. There are 12 shades in the original collection, ranging from cool nudes to cool browns with the odd cool toned red. All these lipsticks are matte liquid lipsticks.

The Magic of Colour Correcting.

The logic behind colour correcting has always baffled me. I tried it before, back in my teens, using old tricks like red lipsticks to reduce dark circles. Back then, colour correcting kits, wands and powders wasn’t as big as a thing as it is now. Now, you can buy all sorts of products to balance out your complexion, pretty much from any make-up brand you see when you walk into Boots – guaranteed there is at least one product in every brand.

Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kit in Glory.

I kinda freaked when I first saw these all over Instagram, I knew I had to try them. I went to my local Superdrug and they only had this one left and another shade, and after ages contemplating which shade to get I finally picked up this deep chocolate brown in the shade in “Glory.” These Retro Luxe Matte Lip Kits by Make-Up Revolution are the first Kylie Jenner Lip Kit dupes I have seen on the highstreet, and certainly won’t be the last. I haven’t actually tried the Kylie Lip Kits so I won’t be doing a comparison in this blogpost, however, I’d love to know if you’ve tried both and what your thoughts were on the two compared.

NYX Highlight & Contour Pro Palette.

I was constantly picking this product up in store, swatching it, looking at the price and putting it back down again. I was trying to justify the price of this palette, as it retails for £18. I squealed with joy when I was treated to the NYX Highlight & Contour Palette for Christmas. I can confidently say that this palette is so worth that £18, I’d recommend the splurge.

The Revolutionary Lippy.

If there was one lipstick in the entire world I was desperate to own it was this one. This is the Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in the gorgeous classic red, F-Bomb. I was given a sample of this when I made a purchase previously at Selfridges and I was so in love with it I wore it until the sample had run dry. I decided to finally own it and I am so glad I did. I also wanted to pick up the shade Naked but it had sold out! Sob. These retail for £15.50 each and are worth every damn penny.

Firstly, the packaging is gorgeous. The box it comes in already screams luxury with its classic UD purple colour and silver metallic writing. The interior of the box is decorated with pretty green flowers. The packaging of the actual product is equally as gorgeous; it is weighty, metallic and ribbed, with the Urban Decay name and logo embossed on the lid. The classic purple makes an appearance again where the applicator is held. These look beautiful among any lip collection.

Urban Decay boasts that their Revolution Lipsticks are “creamy badass luxury” and I couldn’t agree more. They are incredibly creamy, making application so smooth and easy. It feels luxurious on my lips; it is moisturising due to their Maxi-Lip element which aims to “plump and leave lips cushiony soft” with nourishing oils. The color-pay off is immense – these lipsticks are incredibly pigmented to give intense shine (due to their Pigment Infusion System).

F-Bomb is your all round classic red lippy. It is perfect for throwing into your clutch bag on a night out and looks gorgeous paired with a bold winged liner. You can channel your inner Marilyn with this color; F-Bomb just adds a modern twist with the extra added glossy shine. These Revolution Lipsticks are certainly revolutionary to the lip game.
